Digital Camera

A digital camera is a camera that encodes digital images and videos digitally and stores them for later reproduction. Most cameras sold today are digital, and digital cameras are incorporated into many devices for example mobile phones amd vehicles.

Digital and film cameras share an optical system, typically using a lens with a variable diaphragm to focus light onto an image pickup device. The diaphragm and shutter admit the correct amount of light to the imager, just as with film but the image pickup device is electronic rather than chemical. However, unlike film cameras, digital cameras can display images on a screen immediately after being recorded, and store and delete images from memory. Many digital cameras can also record moving video with sound. Some digital cameras can crop and stitch pictures and performs other elementary image editing.

Limitations
Speed – slower shutter speed, camera shake, demands on battery power. May need to have on secured on a tripod, which could be time consuming for all pictures

image Loss – Can loose images in the transfer process if USB cable broken,

battery Consumption-The batteries can run out of power extremely quickly – (lithium helps but is also expensive

How you use a digital camera to manipulate a digital graphic?  A digital camera is plugged into the computer using a USB adapter and from there any pictures that have been taken using the camera and are saved on the device can be uploaded to the computer and saved in a folder and from there you are able to make changes to any pictures e.g. Changing the colour, shape and fixing red eye etc.

Mouse

A computer mouse is an input device that is used both with laptops and computers. Moving a mouse along a table or a mouse mat can move the on-screen marker to different items on the screen. Items can be moved or selected by clicking the mouse buttons.

It is called a computer mouse because of the wire that connects the mouse to the computer. Today, many computer mice use wireless technology and have no wire.

The mouse is commonly known to take a big part in the manipulating of digital graphic as it gives you the ability to edit and change the graphic for example cropping the picture by moving the mouse to the amount of picture that you want.

How a mouse is used to manipulate a digital graphic? The mouse can change any aspect of any image simply by the user clicking on either the right or left button and clicking on a colour or an icon in which to change an image’s size or shape etc.

What is Photoshop?
Photoshop is one of the most popular digital image editing software. It is used by millions of graphic artists, print designers, visual communicators, and regular people for there own use. Many posters on streets that you may see today have a high chance of being edited with some use of effects and plug-ins to make them more appealing.
Limitations

Limitations may also be from the user’s computer as it may not have a high enough specification to allow Photoshop to run smoothly. Another example may be the gradient tool which allows you to blend a foreground and background color. The sharpen tool allows you to sharpen up an image to make it more clear. As adobe is a professional software package it has more advanced tools than most ordinary software package, such as soften and invert.
